It’s back! And it’s the real thing: same factory, same components, same housing, same famous seasick green paint. Most important, the same great warm overdrive that made the originals famous. Plug in and crank it up. You’ll hear what all the fuss is about.

User Reviews

I got my new TS9 and I am very happy with it. I purchased that effect, mainly since I need a "sound boost" for my clean play. I used for that some level of reverb or chorus, but it was always changing the original clean nature of the play, hence I looked for a booster, with some volume increase, and very small level of Overdrive, hence it is a perfect one. It provides me the needed result, and the combination of that one with my other pedals (chorus of Ibanez, Phaser of MXR etc.) is excellent. -- An excellent pedal
The Ibanez TS-9, while not the most versatile dirtbox on the market, is probably the best overdrive pedal I've used.

The number of sounds you can get out of the unit is somewhat limited, but it does what it does very well. If you're looking for a modern-sounding high-gain monster... well, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for that great vintage tube sound that responds to your playing, breaking up more the harder you hit the strings, then the TS-9 is the man for the job.

I've owned several other overdrives in the past, and the one that came closest to the TS-9 in terms of build and sound quality was probably the Boss OD-2 (set midway between overdrive and distortion). I play a Fender American Standard Telecaster through the TS-9 and about 8 other pedals, and run out to a Vox AD100VT amplifier.

The Ibanez pedal has definitely earned a permanent spot on my effects board. I've gotten compliments on my tone from other guitar players at live shows, and most of them can't believe I'm not using one of the vintage TS-808s, let alone a hybrid amp. -- A Great Overdrive Pedal
